In my project Self Baptism I am performing a cleanse on myself as a way of healing from negative elements in my life. This baptism is performed in an instructional manner as a guide for myself and the viewer on how to help ourselves out of dark times. Through this performative action I overcame circumstances and was able to grow. I came out of the water recharged as I gasped for air and as the water ran down my face I could feel everything that was holding me back wash away.
